Knitfest’s YarnBombing Workshops and Learn to Knit or Crochet classes start back again on Thursday 21st Jan, 2016 at the Maleny Library at 10.45am – 12.45pm.
Our first project is the Tardis theme wall for the Maleny Police Station. We have over 40 squares so far and need 80 to finish.
Bring your needles, hooks (especially 5mm), we have lots of wool to share thank you to wonderful people donating their leftover yarns. We need experiences knitters, crocheters and Yarnbombers to share their knowledge to teach newcomers who want to learn the craft and join in the fun.
We have left a box at the library so donations of wool can be left for our wonderful team of volunteers to work on yarnbombing projects each week. If you have any leftover yarns of any ply, we’d love to put them to good use. You can also leave your donations of crocheted and knitted squares, circles, triangle bunting, hearts flowers etc in the box.
You can reach the Knitfest team thru our Facebook page, find us at Knitfest or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Knitfest’s free knitting patterns are now available on our website. Yay! Try out our new patterns and get involved. At the moment, we need lots and lots of bunting to decorate the shop fronts and buildings. Please send the bunting in individual triangles for our team to assemble as required. The address is on the website either in contact us or else under ‘Get Involved – Knitting/Crochet Yarnbombing team‘. It’s a great past time and a good way to use up your old scraps of yarn.
We have easy patterns for yarnbombing, beanies, scarves, tea cosies etc. for inspiration.
