COVID Update Qld

28.6.21

Hi everyone, I’ve been inundated with phone calls and emails asking if Knitfest will be happening this weekend. As far as we know, Knitfest is still able to go ahead providing we stick to our Covid plan. We will be contacting Qld Health in the morning for directives.

As we understand, we go back to wearing masks at the event.

Everyone will be required to hand sanitise on entering the venues. If you do not comply, you will not be granted entry. Our stallholders may ask you to sanitise again before touching goods on their stall. We ask that you be patient with the new rules. We’re all in this together and trying to do our best to keep everyone safe.

We’ll be asking you to limit cash transactions and use your card wherever possible.

Numbers inside the venue at any given time will be capped to the new 1 in 4sq metre venue size ruling. This means you may have to wait your turn to enter if we are at capacity. We’ll try to make that as painless as possible for you.

Workshops:

For people attending workshops, we have restricted numbers to comply with Qld Health rules. You will be asked to hand sanitise on entry to your workshop. We are limiting sharing of equipment etc as much as possible. The venue will be following Qld Health cleaning roster directives.

Trade stalls:

Trade stalls are limited to 2 customers at one time. Please be patient if you are wanting to purchase something from your favourites stalls. Others may appear to only be looking but every customer is important.

If we aren’t able to go ahead with Knitfest this weekend, our alternative date is Aug 7th – 8th.

Please stay posted on our news page and our Facebook and Facebook event page.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
