TRADE STALLS FOR 2021
Stalls for Knitfest Central are fully booked. We are now taking bookings for the Spinning Hall venue.

STALLHOLDER TRADING GUIDELINES 

Where

Knitfest – Yarn and Fibre Arts Festival, Maple St, Maleny

Trading Hours

Sat  3rd July -9am – 5pm  – Knitfest Central and Spinning Central
Sun 4th July – 9am – 4pm – Knitfest Central

Spinning Central

Spinning Central (Maleny RSL) is used by the RSL until 8pm-ish on Fri night so we cannot set up until 7am Sat. We do have full access to the hall on Friday night, so some setting up can be done by arrangement. If you would like to drop off your stall equipment and cover it over in a designated space in the hall, please email us at knitfest@hotmail.com to arrange prior drop off.

Knitfest Central

Knitfest Central (Maleny Primary School Hall) will be open from 7am Sat 3rd July, to set up. You can also set up on Fri during the day from 12pm. Knitfest has security at the event but is not held responsible for any theft or damage at the event although every care will be taken.

Cancellations

Stall bookings cancelled after 5pm Wednesday 23rd June, 2021, will not be refunded. If the event is cancelled, a full refund will be made to stall holders. If the event is postponed due to inclement weather and you are not able to make the new date, your stall fee will be fully refunded.

Marquees/Market Umbrellas

Outdoor Stallholders must provide their own marquees or market umbrellas, which must be in good condition. Management does not provide any stall equipment for hire or loan.

Marquee Weights Compliance :Marquees need to have weights attached at all times and Market umbrellas need to have a weighted base with the umbrella stand able to be securely fixed to the weight. We are a coastal mountain event and do experience wind gusts from time to time. If stallholders do not have weights, they will not be permitted to trade for safety reasons.

Weather

Knitfest will operate in varying weather conditions and stallholders must be prepared for adverse weather. Stallholders may pack up their stall due to adverse weather conditions. Management will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever resulting from adverse weather conditions.

Pets / Animals

No animals are permitted at Knitfest as it is held on Council and Govt land.

Waste & Rubbish

Stallholders are required to remove their own rubbish and waste from their immediate stall location. Stallholders are responsible for leaving their site and surrounding area clean, tidy and undamaged.

Food Stalls

All Food Vendors must hold current licences for the Sunshine Coast Council and outdoor vendors must hold a current Public Liability Certificate for $20 million cover. All licences and certificates must be emailed to knitfest@hotmail.com with your Trade Stall Application.

  • lElectrical Compliance - Please read. Access to power is strictly by approval only. It is essential that extension leads do not present a trip-hazard to the public. Excess cords must be coiled safely within the stall and not accessible to the public.
