Other Things to Do at Knitfest

Knitfest Bus

All aboard the Knitfest Bus for a fun trip round the Festival Precinct! Take at least one trip in our yarnbombed bus, to enhance your festival experience. Get a bird’s eye view of the yarnbombing up and around the main street and down to the showgrounds. The bus constantly loops the circuit from Knitfest Central (Primary School) to the top of town, past the Police Station and Ambulance Centre. On Sat, it also takes you to the Maleny Showgrounds to see the Alpaca Raw Fleece Expo and visit the Maleny Arts and Crafts Workshop showing Displays of Arts and Crafts for sale.

Showgrounds:
Raw Fleece Expo – Qld Alpaca Assciation

Watch this year’s Alpaca fleeces being judged first hand on the Fri and the Alpacas being judged on the Saturday.

The halter show on Sat has over 60 alpacas in the show ring at the Evan Evans arena at the Maleny Showgrounds. Exhibitors from northern NSW up to central Qld are anxious to hear what the judge has to say about their top alpacas.
