Other Things to Do at Knitfest

Showgrounds:
Raw Fleece Expo – Qld Alpaca Association

Alpaca Fleece and Halter Show,

At this year’s Maleny Raw Fleece Expo, an International Alpaca judge will be giving a running commentary as they judge each fleece on Friday the July 1st. The fleeces will be display until Saturday afternoon. There will be an alpaca enthusiast with the fleeces who can answer questions on husbandry, breeding, fleece judging and fleece preparation. The halter show on Saturday has over 60 alpacas of both breeds and all colours in the show ring. They are judged on fleece and form, with a running commentary from the judge. There will be exhibitors from northern NSW up to central Qld. The Exhibitors are a friendly bunch so come and meet them, chat about alpacas, fleece and have a look at the fleece for sale at the display.
